A Legacy That Lives On

Wilford Apartments is named in honor of Wilfred “Will” Yetzer, a Waconia native, WWII combat medic under General Patton, and lifelong community builder. Known as “Uncle Will,” he spent nearly a century quietly shaping the town he loved—founding Yetzer Flooring & Home Furnishings and Funeral Home, helping establish Ridgeview Hospital, and giving back at every opportunity.

The name Wilford offers a subtle variation of his own—a reflection of a man who never sought recognition, but instead showed up for others time and time again. That spirit of humility, generosity, and connection lives on in this community.

Today, Wilford brings that legacy forward, offering thoughtfully designed residences rooted in both modern living and a deep sense of place.
